国庆节用英语怎么说

国庆节用英语怎么说

National Day is a significant holiday in China, which celebrates the establishment of the nation. The term “国庆” originally referred to joyous events of the country and was first documented during the Western Jin Dynasty. The literary figure Lu Ji mentioned in his work “On the Five Ranks of Feudal Lords” that “国庆独飨其利 , 主忧莫与其害,” emphasizing the benefits and worries associated with national celebrations. In ancient China, the most momentous occasions for national jubilation were the emperor’s ascension to the throne and his birthday (known as “万岁节” in the Qing Dynasty). Thus, these were referred to as “国庆” in ancient China. Today, we commemorate the establishment of the nation by calling it National Day.
